What is tramadol

Tramadol is a prescription medicine used as an analgesic drug to treat moderate to severe chronic pain in adults. It is a narcotic drug also called an opioid pain medication and available with the brand name of ultram, ultram Er, conzip. They are commonly used for treating long-term back pain and for relieving pain and discomfort from injuries. Tramadol works by binding to opioid receptors in the brain, effectively decreasing the feeling of pain. Tramadol capsules inhibit the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin in the reducing pain inhibitory pathways from the brain to spinal cord which activates pain inhibitory neurons in the spinal cord. 

What is Celecoxib

Celecoxib is a type of NSAID medicine that is used to reduce pain and inflammation. It works by blocking the enzyme COX-2 in the body which produces the prostaglandins chemicals that are responsible for causing inflammation & pain and also for making skin warmer, inflamed when you get a fever. It is commonly used to treat mild to moderate pain including those related to osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, menstruation.

What are the doses and strength of Tramadol

Tramadol Capsule is available in different strengths and forms such as 100mg, 200mg, and 30mg for extended release, and 50 mg for immediate release. 

Lower dose starts from 25 mg per day, slowly you can increase your doses by 25 mg every 3 days as needed. You can take Tramadol 50mg to 100mg every 4 to 6 hours as needed. You can extend it to 400mg per day. These strengths are the immediate release tablets, capsules, and liquid.

You can take tramadol medication 100 mg once a day and by 100 mg every 5 days and if needed to a maximum dose of 300 mg per day. 

What are the doses and strengths of Celecoxib

Celecoxib is available in capsule form and in several strengths including 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, and 400 mg. The appropriate dose depends on the condition being treated. For osteoarthritis, the usual dose is 200 mg daily or you can take it as a single dose or divided into two. For rheumatoid arthritis 100mg to 200 mg twice daily may be used. As doses may be prescribed by a doctor, depending on an individual’s health condition and response.
